As January comes to an end, KRLD's John Liddle took a look at Google's top searches with Google Trends expert Elizabeth Howard.

The flight cancellations in late December by Southwest Airlines and the complete disruption of air travel on the morning of Jan. 11 influenced users to search air travel questions like:

1. How long (for a) flight delay before compensation?
2. How to get compensation for delayed flight?
3. What is NOTAM?
4. Why are there flight delays?
5. What is the FAA system?

TCU's appearance in the College Football Playoff Championship Game influenced search terms like:

1. Why are TCU the horned frogs?
2. When did TCU last win the national championship?
3. What conference is TCU in football?

And in food, it's Girl Scout Cookie season. So the top trending searches were:

1. How much are Girl Scout cookies 2023?
2. When is it Girl Scout cookie season?
3. When do Girl Scout cookies go on sale in 2023?
4. How to buy Girl Scout cookies online?
5. Where to buy Girl Scout cookies?
