Even as winter weather blankets the U.S., the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo goes on. This year’s show began Jan. 16 and is scheduled to run through Feb. 7.

KRLD 1080's Curt Lewis recently interviewed Cale Henry, a senior at Celina High School who brought her swine friends Squeakers (pink) and Roo to the show. Exhibitors can bring swine, heifers, other livestock and horses to various events at the show and rodeo.

This year marks the 130th anniversary of the first Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo, according to its website. That site calls it “the most authentic western lifestyle experience anywhere.”

In addition to the exhibitors, there are, of course, also rodeo shows. This year, Best of the West Ranch Rodeo, Best of Mexico Celebración, Cowboys of Color Rodeo, Bulls' Night out and the PRORODEO Rookie Rally will be featured.
