Officials in Georgia have had to draw attention to a growing issue in the state, as the number of residents submitting their digital driver’s license or ID photos without clothes on is on the rise.

“Please take pictures with your clothes on when submitting them for your Digital Driver’s License and IDs,” the Georgia Department of Drivers’ Services wrote in a Facebook post last week.

The issue is a result of Georgia residents using a digital driver’s license or ID in their Apple Wallet on the company’s phone and watch products, the department shared on its website.

Digital IDs are used for numerous reasons, most notably to “speed up the process at select TSA checkpoints,” the department’s website added.

However, the digital document is not to be used as a replacement for a physical ID given out by the state.

Still, while the department can monitor and police attire in photos taken for physical IDs, being that they are taken in public and not at home, the same can not be said for those taking advantage of the advancement in technology.

While the post has been received as lighthearted, the department’s response to comments asking about the seriousness of the PSA appears to show that residents having some spice in their ID photos is a continued issue.

“Cheers to technology and keeping things classy,” the department wrote.
