Paramount+ is the latest streaming service to capitalize on our undying thirst for nostalgia with the return of the wolf pack in Teen Wolf: The Movie.
The film is a continuation of the popular 2011 series 'Teen Wolf.' Though they are no longer teens, many of the original cast members are returning for the film along with some new faces.
Ian Bohen is among the returning 'OGs' of 'Teen Wolf,' and is reprising his role of The Alpha Werewolf - Peter Hale. He joined KRLD's What to Watch team to talk about the wolf pack's comeback.
"Any actor getting to reprise a role after such a long layoff - about five years? It's very flattering," he said.
"It was a dream come true, and we're hoping that we can make many more."
Set under the full moon in Beacon Hills, the film has a familiar setting and theme, just with a slight new direction, according to Bohen.
"There is several years of time cut between where the story in the seat in the series ended, and where we pick up some of the characters have kids, some of the characters aren't there anymore," Bohen said.
"We have the history and everything that has happened ... but it really is a completely new story with a new direction."
Since the conclusion of the 'Teen Wolf' series in 2017, Bohen has added some new characters to his resume, such as his character Ryan on the popular series 'Yellowstone.' Ryan is a fan favorite on the series, with a laid back comedic demeanor, while Peter Hale is a much darker role. We asked Bohen which is the better role to play: the good guy or the bad guy?
"I will say playing a perceived villain is more fun than playing a good guy because you have to figure out ways to justify the bad behavior and the things that the character does without judging them, and that's a fun ride to take," he said.
We also discussed the absence of Dylan O'Brien's character Stiles as well as the possibility of a 'Teen Wolf' revival series in our full interview here.
