
The "Great Resignation" isn't going anywhere.
According to a new survey from Bankrate.com, more than half (51%) of U.S. adults who are either employed or looking for work, are at least somewhat likely to look for a new job in the next 12 months.
The number is down only slightly from 55% in a similar August 2021 report.
“Between the high number of job openings, elevated inflation as well as lessons and opportunities resulting from the pandemic, many workers are restless,” Mark Hamrick, Bankrate senior economic analyst and Washington bureau chief said.

And it turns out that flexibility at work is still very important to workers.
According to the survey, flexible hours (43%) and/or the ability to work remotely (34%) is more important to them now than prior to the Covid-19 pandemic.
“It is remarkable that so many Americans place a higher priority on the conditions of their employment over pay, not that compensation is unimportant by any means,” Hamrick said.
The study also found that 52% of respondents felt higher pay was more important to them now than prior to the pandemic.
