A Pakistani national has been deported after Immigration and Customs Enforcement says he was found to be living in Dallas without authorization.
ICE says Syed Rizvi, 56, came to the United States legally in 2017 but "violated the terms of his admission." The agency did not give details but said he had been identified as a "national security priority."
ICE says Rizvi was arrested after a traffic stop January 31 and found he had been ordered removed by a judge the week before. Rizvi has now been deported to Pakistan.
"Illegal aliens suspected or known to have ties to organizations that threaten public safety will not find refuge in the U.S. Our most important priority is to arrest and remove those who pose an imminent danger to the citizens of the U.S.," Enforcement and Removals Operations Dallas Field Office acting Director Josh Johnson wrote in a statement.
In a press release, ICE urged people to report crimes or suspicious activity by calling 866-DHS-2-ICE (866-347-2423) or filling out an online tip form at https://www.ice.gov/webform/ice-tip-form
