Wanna hear something weird?
That particular adjective has been lobbed across the political aisle by Democrats at Republicans for a few weeks now, and many in the G.O.P. have taken great offense to the term.
But now, it appears the American people have spoken, and they say politics in general is a "weird" profession to choose.
According to a new poll conducted by Redfield & Wilton Strategies on behalf of Newsweek, 48% of Americans believe "all politicians are a bit weird."
So what about the man who was saddled with the description in the first place: Republican Vice Presidential nominee J.D. Vance?
The U.S. Senator from Ohio is indeed considered to be "weird" by 44% of poll respondents. Of those that think something about Vance is off, 37% said they voted for Vance's running mate Donald Trump in the 2020 Presidential election, while 64% said they voted for Joe Biden.
Meanwhile, 33% voted "a different way" and 18% said they didn't vote, according to Newsweek's report on the polling.
