Seven historically Black colleges targeted with bomb threats right before Black History Month

Seven HBCU's targeted with bomb threats

Several Historically Black Colleges and Universities were closed after receiving bomb threats on Monday.

As of Monday morning, the following seven locations have been targeted according to ABC:
- Southern University and A&M College
- Howard University
- Bethune-Cookman University
- Albany State University
- Bowie State University
- Delaware State University
- Judson University

Albany State University and Bethune-Cookman University's campuses remain closed as of 2 p.m. with investigations underway.

Bowie State's campus has reopened after "a search of the university by federal, state, and local emergency law enforcement found no devices."

Southern University and A&M College have received an "all clear" from authorities after searching the campus. However, the campus will remain closed for the remainder of Monday.

Judson University tweeted: "the Elgin Police Department has issued an all clear for campus. Students should watch for communication from faculty options for remote learning for today. News on evening classes/activities will be issued later."

Howard University received an "all clear" from D.C.'s Metropolitan Police Department and Howard University Police earlier this morning, according to NPR. They also report that Carlos Holmes, a spokesperson for Delaware State University, said that no bombs were found after a search this afternoon.

The FBI and ATF have both been working in conjunction with local law enforcement in response to these threats per ABC.

This marks the second time this month that such threats have been made against HBCU's.
