A new study from YouGov doesn't help with the debate. It finds around a quarter of Americans would like their shows to be their escape from COVID storylines. Another quarter says, if the show is set during the time of the pandemic, it should be a plotline.
Almost half say they don't really care one way or the other, or they aren't sure.
People who wear masks regularly say they want to see COVID stories. Those who don't wear masks, don't want to be reminded about the pandemic in their shows.
