NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- The last show of "Saturday Night Live" for 2021 is set to go on -- without a studio audience.

"SNL" will tape without fans and with a limited set of cast and crew tonight when Paul Rudd hosts with musical guest Charli XCX, the show announced.

It comes “due to the recent spike in the omicron variant and out of an abundance of caution," the show tweeted.

According to the New York Post, the show has been hit with an outbreak of COVID-19 cases, including four “actors,” while others called out in fear.

The report also claimed ‘SNL’ ring leader Lorne Michaels had tested positive for the virus, and that Colin Jost, Sarah Sherman and Aristotle Athari are expected to be absent from the show — meaning “Weekend Update” could be solo-hosted by Michael Che.

As of now, the show is due to go on, despite reported concerns from cast members.

SNL tweeted, “The show continues to follow all government safety guidelines in addition to a rigorous testing protocol.”

Those who won tickets for the show are set to receive “more information soon.”

New York reported another record-breaking COVID-19 case amount Saturday, while Broadway shows are suffering to stay open. The “Radio City Christmas Spectacular” ended its 2021 season Friday due to COVID-19 cases.
