In the late 90's and early 2000's, we had instant millionaires due to startups during the early years of the internet.
But today, everybody wants to be a Youtuber.
The new Forbes list of the highest-paid YouTubers is out, and 9-year-old Ryan Kaji is the king of the stream for the third year in a row.
Kaji "unboxes" toys on video. He's been doing it for five years. This past year alone, he made nearly $30 millon on YouTube, and that's just part of his empire.
But there are lots of ways to get clicks on YouTube. And with the massive amounts the top tubers can make - you may be thinking about jumping into it.
For some tips, we turned to Adam Rizzieri, Chief Marketing Officer at Agency Partner Interactive.
Rizzieri says YouTube's younger-skewing audience means a few themes are most popular:
-Unboxing videos
-Kid-focused Vlogs
-Gaming videos
-How-to content
-Sporting videos (trick-shots)
-Music videos
And when you're making your videos, Rizzieri recommends you shoot your videos in English, make them at least eight minutes long, and then as you grow your following look for brands to sponsor your content.
