What's long COVID? And who is most at risk?

The U.S. is in the midst of the second-largest COVID-19 surge since the start of the pandemic. Experts are predicting that 100 million people total, or one in three people in the U.S., may contract COVID-19 during this surge.

And of course, a COVID infection can lead eventually to long COVID. Dr. Phillip Levy, Professor of Emergency Medicine and Associate Vice President of Translational Science at Wayne State University joined KRLD's John Liddle to talk about long COVID.

Dr. Levy recommends you visit vaccines.gov to find resources to get information on current vaccines, and local resources to schedule a vaccine appointment.
