You've probably heard you will need a booster shot if you are fully vaccinated. But there is some confusion today about whether the booster shot is actually needed.
Dallas family physician Dr. Scott Conard says he understands the confusion, mainly because there is so much new information coming in all the time about the virus and new variants.
Conrad says at this point it is likely people will need a booster, mainly to keep them safe from the growing number of more contagious variants.
He says decisions about booster shots won't be made for several more months, until more people are vaccinated.
Conard says the government is talking about booster shots now just to make sure doses are available, should they be needed.
