You might enjoy working the night shift, where you don't have to deal with office politics or other people... but those late hours can be dangerous to your health.

Research in the European Heart Journal finds overnight workers tend to have a higher risk of atrial fibrillation and a greater chance of coronary heart disease.

The late hours don't have any impact on heart failure or strokes though.

The researcher found the risk of A-Fib increases 12 percent, compared to regular 9 to 5ers.

That risk jumps to 18 percent, if you've made an entire career on the night shift.  And 22 percent, if it's more intermittent.. say 3 to 8 night hours a month for more than 10 years.
