A bacterial infection has knocked Democrat Robert 'Beto' O'Rourke off the campain trail and even put him in the hospital over the weekend.
Beto O'Rourke says he started feeling sick on Friday while campaigning across Texas in his race for the Governor's seat.
He says he went to a hospital in San Anotnio and was diagnosed with a bacterial infection. O'Rourke describes an extraordinary team there, saying they gave him IV antibiotics. His symptoms have improved and he's now resting at home.
O'Rourke says he's following doctors' recommendations and has postponed campaign events. He wrote in an email he promises to get back on the road as soon as possible.
