As we wait for Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton's impeachment trial we're learning a former Texas Supreme Court Justice is joining the team prosecuting Paxton.
Former Justice Harriet O'Neill sat on the state's high court for a dozen years before stepping down in 2010 to return to private practice in Austin. She now joins high-profile lawyers Dick DeGuerin and Rusty Hardin as part of the prosecution team as the embattled Paxton's impeachment trial comes up September 5th.
In a statement O'Neill said "The facts in this case are clear, compelling and decisive, and I look forward to presenting them before the members of the Texas Senate,"
In the meantime, Texas Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick ordered House case managers to share relevant info and documents with Paxton's legal team that they accused them of withholding.
