New Fort Worth Mayor Mattie Parker is endorsing her predecessor as the next Tarrant County Judge.
Betsy Price served 10 years as mayor of Fort Worth and did not run for re-election. But she has announced she's running for the county judge position after Judge Glen Whitley announced last month he would not seek re-election.
Mayor Parker issued a release this morning explaining why she's backing Price.
"Having worked with Betsy Price during her tenure as Fort Worth Mayor, I can say without any hesitation that she has the ethics, integrity, smarts, and commitment to protecting taxpayers that we need in our next County Judge,"
Price says she's proud to have Parker's support. "I am proud to have the endorsement of Mayor Mattie Parker who is focused on positive policies that protect our taxpayers every step of the way," said Betsy Price. "I look forward to working with Mayor Parker, suburban leaders and the business community to grow our economy and keep Tarrant County families safe."
