A number of senate republicans have introduced a resolution officially supporting President Donald Trump's airstrike's on Iran.
The resolution supporting Operation Midnight Hammer was led by Senator John Cornyn of Texas supporting what is listed as the United States' decisive military strikes to degrade Iran's nuclear program.
A number of republican colleagues signed onto the legislation but Senator Ted Cruz is absent from the list of sponsors. Cruz has spoken out in support of the operation.
While the resolution reaffirms the right of the U. S. to take necessary measures to prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons, a number of democrats questioned if the White House needed congressional approval for the action.
