Voters are headed out for early voting in the city and school runoff elections across Texas.

At Fretz Park in North Dallas, many voters are expressing concern over zoning issues.

The main concern in that part of the city is a development near Belt Line and Preston Road some neighbors have taken to court.

"No apartments at Pepper Square," one couple told KRLD. "Our last City Councilwoman did not support us."

Developers have said they spent years studying the proposal and held public hearings.

"At Valley View, you can punch up 15 to 18 stories and it won't hurt anything," another voter said. "At Pepper Square, it's going to be 12 to 13 stories and that's horrible."

Voters in North Dallas' District 11 City Council race are choosing between Jeff Kitner and Bill Roth.

Early voting runs through June 3rd with Election Day on June 7th.
