You could battle a seagull for a hotdog in the stands at Oracle Park, or you could do the wise thing and grab a bite at an actual restaurant nearby before or after the game. Whether you're looking for happy hour deals, you need something more substantial than a pretzel, or you'd like to make a full day out of a Giants game, here are the best places to eat near Oracle Park.
Atwater Tavern
Scope out the scene at the stadium across the bay from your comfy seat at Atwater Tavern. Our usual move is to split a couple flatbread pizzas with some pals, but if you're heading to a weekend afternoon game, Atwater serves a decent brunch where you can fill up on daytime classics chilaquiles or buttermilk pancakes.

Woodbury
There aren't many deals on food and drink to be found inside Oracle Park, so pregame like the savviest Giants fans at Woodbury, which offers a primo happy hour before first pitch on game days. Happy hour knocks $2 off cocktails, brings local brews like Fort Point and Fieldwork down to just $5, and offers affordable snacks like baby back ribs, Sriracha bacon deviled eggs and fried chicken sliders. Plus the bar is dark enough to shield you from an especially hot summer's day and cozy enough to warm your bones before a late-season game.

HiDive
It's not really a dive bar but it is one of our favorite places to grab a pint on the waterfront. The place looks more like a diner than a classic grungey SF spot, and the food menu matches the vibe with burgers, sandwiches, soups, salads and all manner of fried apps.
28 Pier, San Francisco, CA 94105
Cockscomb
If your goal is to fill up before a game (and never want to eat again), gorge yourself on a meaty feast at Cockscomb, a restaurant dedicated to all things animal. Copious taxidermy hangs overhead in the restaurant's industrial space, which is always buzzing with pregame energy. Everyone is there to enjoy meat, working their way up from the porky "ham"burger, to the slab of bacon known as the bacon chop, to the offal fest of daily "fall offs," to an entire pig's head decorated with gold leaf. This is food fit for a king -- and his queen, and his entire court, and all the peasants, and still leftovers for later.

El Pípila
Some of our favorite Mexican food in SF sits within walking distance of Oracle Park, making El Pípila any easy choice on game days. The Guanajuatan style eatery produces amazing carnitas tacos, which highlight flavorful, simply seasoned, slow-roasted pork shoulder. The pozole verde is another stunner on the menu, and the tomatillo-based chicken stew is exactly what Giants fans need on a drizzly post-game evening.
