We've often said that teachers are the most underappreciated and undervalued members of our society and thankfully, Royse ISD recognized that fact and surprised its staff members with a little gift.
At a meeting just before taking off for fall break, the district surprised its staff and employees with a gift of $1,000 each!
Superintendent Kevin Worthy said in the meeting per FOX 4, "We think you need something to take with you. So today, every single employee of our district is getting $1,000."
All employees in the district will be getting the money, including everyone from teachers to custodians and school secretaries. So well deserved!
