Thursday night about 9:30 p.m. the Terrell Volunteer Fire Department got the call to a home on County Road 322-A where they found heavy flames shooting through the roof.
Terrell Volunteers got help from some neighboring fire departments including the city of Terrell, Union Valley and College Mound.
Even after the fire was doused, firefighters remained on-scene until well after midnight to keep an eye out for hot spots.
A Care-Flite helicopter was called in as a precaution but it turned out no one was hurt.
