Euless Trinity High School has a new football coach, and he has a very familiar name.

At last night's HEB school district trustees meeting, Aaron Lineweaver was announced as the new coach of the Trojans. He's the son of long-time Trinity coach Steve Lineweaver who coached from 2002 to 2014 during which he won three Class 5A UIL titles, compiling a record of 176-and-29 with a playoff record of 43-and-12.
Aaron Lineweaver replaces Chris Jensen who retired in December after a 30-year high school coaching career including 22 as an assistant and head coach at Euless Trinity.
A tweet from the HEB district says "we are excited to welcome Coach Aaron Lineweaver as the new head football coach of the Trinity Trojans!"
