Abbott to view flood response in San Angelo

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R) will travel to San Angelo on Thursday to receive a briefing and hold a press conference on the state’s ongoing response to severe flooding that has affected communities across Texas.

The press conference is scheduled for 2 p.m. at Spur Arena, following a private briefing with emergency officials. Abbott will be joined by several state and local leaders, including Sen. Charles Perry (R-Lubbock), Rep. Drew Darby (R-San Angelo), Texas Division of Emergency Management Chief Nim Kidd, Tom Green County Judge Lane Carter, San Angelo Mayor Tom Thompson, and San Angelo Fire Chief Patrick Brody.

KRLD will carry the press conference live when it begins.
