Ask the Expert: How does DFW prepare for the World Cup?

There might be a large silver lining to North Texas not hosting the final for the 2026 World Cup.

Dallas-Fort Worth gets to host nine different matches, including one of the semi-finals at AT&T Stadium, even though it's getting renamed Dallas Stadium for the World Cup.

That's going to mean billions of eyeballs on the DFW area coming up in just about two and a half years. North Texas is the home of FC Dallas and the US National Soccer Hall of Fame, and they're hoping to have a big role in the preparation and execution of a flawless World Cup tournament.
