President-elect Trump is not being shy about his intentions for the southern border and there are many in South Texas happy with those intentions.
Promises of more stringent border measures and mass deportations are music to the ears of the Border Patrol.
Chris Cabrera, with the Border Patrol Union in Texas says that morale was low under the Biden Administration. That shows in the numbers as so many agents have either quit or retired that staffing is nearly 3,000 below what is mandated by Congress.
"The men and women that I represent will be ready come January 20th to get back to work," says Cabrera.
On the campaign trail, Trump promised a 10% pay raise and $10,000 bonuses for new hires.
