VALLEY MILLS (1080 KRLD)- One month after his father was killed by a lightning strike, a six-year-old Bosque County boy has now also died.

Little Grayson Boggs died Friday at a Temple hospital where he was taken by air ambulance the night of May 15th after he and his dad were hit by a lightning bolt. Matthew Boggs was walking his boys home in Valley Mills after they were dropped off by the school bus. The bolt struck Matthew and went into Grayson's body because they were holding hands.

Grayson's father died at the scene and doctors say Grayson's heart stopped for 30 minutes, causing irreversible brain damage.

The family says Grayson died Friday, a month and a day after his father.

His family has opened a GoFundMe account to help with the funeral expenses here.
