Several members of a middle school cheer squad in Lubbock, sustain first and second-degree burns after a punishment from their coach.
According to the New York Post, after the squad did a cheer at a football game that the coach didn’t want them to do, the coach made the team perform bear crawls and crab walks for a mile around the school’s track.
The punishment took place at 2 p.m. last Wednesday afternoon when the pavement was at least 125 degrees.
The coach is now on administrative leave.
