A DeSoto man has been named as the suspect in an Amarillo shooting that killed two and wounded five more a week ago Sunday.

Police say Jose Flores was arrested over the weekend and booked into the Randall County jail to face charges in the shooting deaths of Semagea Smith and Dequincton Taylor.

They and five others were struck by gunfire at an Amarillo event center. Police are not saying much about the reasons but they do report the gunfire followed a fight.
