An east Texas rustling operation has been broken up in Trinity County.
Officials say a man from Grapeland named Luke McGinn was arrested in Trinity County where Sheriff Woody Wallace says McGinn was caught with a trailer load of horses that did not belong to him.
Investigators also found a stash of about half-dozen drugs often used to calm animals during transport. The Sheriff says those are not illegal to possess but he also says they are the tools-of-the-trade for rustlers.
McGinn is up on charges of theft of cattle or horses or exotic livestock and of cruelty to livestock. They also found a stash of meth in his truck that was not for the horses, so he's also up on drug charges.
