Eighteen wildfires remain active in Texas this morning from Hall County in the Panhandle down to Starr County in the Rio Grande Valley.
The newest is the Hall County West Tell fire. It's 200 acres and about 75% contained.
In Parker County, the Wilson Fire is now considered 100% contained but it was a tough one for awhile. On Thursday the Texas A&M Forest Service posted a video of the Wilson fire showing a roadside tree swallowed up in flames in a matter of seconds as a perfect confluence of fire dangers came together including temperatures as high as 106 in Parker County, hot winds gusting over 20 at times and crackling dry brush and grass as far as the eye can see.
The Forest Service's weekend forecast shows moderate to very-high fire danger in every corner of Texas with the exception of a few coastal counties at Sabine Pass and between Port Aransas and Port O'Connor.
