An Arctic blast has descended on Texas, but so far, the state's power grid is stable.

ERCOT has issued a Weather Watch, though it said it expects grid conditions to remain normal throughout the week.

Todd Staples, president of the Texas Oil and Gas Association, credited the industry's preparedness for the stability. He said they are following guidance put into place after 2021's Winter Storm Uri.

The most significant supply and demand challenge is forecast for Thursday morning, though ERCOT officials said it is far from reaching a critical level that could lead to rolling brownouts.
