With temperatures expected to reach the teens and 20s across North Texas -- and even lower in other parts of the state -- this week, ERCOT has issued a Weather Watch from Wednesday through Friday.

A Weather Watch means ERCOT is anticipating high electrical demand and the potential for lower power reserves. ERCOT says grid conditions are expected to be normal during a Weather Watch.

ERCOT added that no immediate action is needed by consumers, but that reducing electricity use at peak times can help reduce the strain on the power grid.
