Pat Mahomes, the former Texas Rangers pitcher and father of the Super Bowl-bound Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes is up on a DWI charge out of Smith County in East Texas.
Smith County jail records show Mahomes was booked Saturday on one count of Driving While Intoxicated - 3rd Time or More.
Most recently, he served 40 days in jail for his second DWI conviction in 2019 and 2020.
Mahomes pitched for eleven seasons in Major League Baseball including one year with the Rangers in 2001.
