Long-time Van Zandt County Judge and state representative Dan Flynn has died at the age of 79.
Texas Governor Greg Abbott said in a social meida post that he and his wife Cecilia are saddened by Flynn's passing.
Flynn served as Texas House District 2 representative for 18 years. Before that, he served as County Judge.
Flynn also served in the military including hitches in the US Army, the Texas Army National Guard, and the Texas State Guard.
Funeral services have not been completed but are expected to be announced soon.
