A majority of Texans think the state's headed in the wrong direction.
That's according to a poll conducted by the Dallas Morning News and the University of Texas -Tyler. Just 41% approve of Governor Greg Abbott's job performance while 54% don't.

That poll shows that Matthew McConaughey is now 9 points ahead of the Governor in a hypothetical matchup.
The poll also shows Beto O'Rourke is now just 5 points behind the Governor.
The poll goes on to show that only 34% of Texans agree with the new law which allows guns to be carried with no permit.
