
A group of Texas secessionists is headed to court in the wake of a Supreme Court ruling that cleared the way for the Border Patrol to begin removing the razor wire that the state erected along the Rio Grande.
The Texas Nationalist Movement, which supports the state's independence from the U.S., is suing the Texas Republican Party for refusing to put the question on the GOP Primary ballot this year.
Party officials say that was because the petition submitted by TNM only had 140,000 signatures, and 90 percent of those were invalid or didn't exist.
But the separatists remain undeterred. They're also calling for Governor Abbott to, "call an immediate special session to explore Texas independence."
