There's a business group that's suing the state of Texas because the state has a restriction against investing in companies that it says boycott the oil business in Texas.
The Texas Tribune reports the American Sustainable Business Coalition filed the suit against the Attorney General and the State Comptroller. That group says the state law violates their First Amendment and 14th Amendments.
That law comes from the Legislature in 2021 where Texas punishes businesses that support a cutback on fossil fuels.
