Heavy rain is expected to blanket Texas this weekend, breaking the stifling heat wave. But the drought is not over.

The U.S. Drought Monitor's latest report, released Thursday, shows the drought in at least two-thirds of Texas is still rated Extreme to Exceptional.

Meanwhile, five wildfires are still out of control in Texas this morning, four of them are 30 acres or smaller. The 700-acre Pine Pond fire in Bastrop County is now 85% contained.
