With temperatures in the mid-90s, zookeepers at the San Antonio Zoo have many ways to keep the animals cool.

A lot of the critters love lolling about in water all summer, of course, but many like a nice, refreshing treat, too.

Just like humans, a hippopotamus loves watermelon in the summer. But the hippos don't bother with sliced melons. Their handlers simply place whole watermelons in the hippos' cavernous mouths and the hippos' massive teeth do the rest.

Here's video from the San Antonio Zoo showing the hippos enjoying their treat.
