With the Somervell County Chalk Mountain fire threatening to move north into Hood County last night, a separate grass fire broke out near Tolar.
At the time, Hood County Judge Ron Massingill issued an evacuation order for those who live nearby. Residents were ordered to evacuate inside a circular area bounded by Nocal Court, Rock Church Highway, Hutchinson Road and Coleman Ranch Road.
But once it seemed likely firefighters were able to stop the flames, the evacuation order was lifted about two and a half hours later.
