PANOLA COUNTY (1080 KRLD)- An East Texas man has been arrested for using a bat to assault a dog. The man has admitted to beating the dog with a baseball bat.
He was arrested in the community of Tatum, in Panola County. The sheriff's office report indicates Jason Washington is accused of entering his neighbor's property and first throwing sticks at the dog
then leaving and returning with the baseball bat.
Washington has been charged with animal cruelty. Why he attacked the dog is still unclear.
