Texas Governor Greg Abbott has said he has DPS troopers and National Guard members laying down what he calls, "miles of razor wire" along the border. He talked to Newsmax's Eric Bolling about the plan.

According to Newsmax, Abbott said; "We have to secure our border while the federal government twiddles its thumbs." Abbott later went on to say that; "What Texas is also doing is building its own border wall, and we expect to have some of that wall up as early as within the next two months."

"We [also] have a new program in place where people who come into the state of Texas and are trespassing in our state, we are arresting them and putting them in jail as opposed to [President Joe] Biden's catch and release program," Abbott said per Newsmax.

He said he wants the border tightened before another large group of migrants makes its way to the Texas border with Mexico. Abbott also said they're using shipping containers to block certain areas where they might try to cross.
