A missing Texas hiker has been found dead in a Utah national park.
The Austin man's name has not been revealed by the National Park Service which says only that he was due back from an Arches National Park hike Tuesday.
Searchers found his vehicle in the parking lot of a popular hiking trail. After a detailed search, they found his body some distance off-trail.
Rangers say that trail is considered an easy walk and the round-trip takes 30 minutes or less. It's not clear if heat was a factor.
For late July and early August, temperatures in Utah deserts have been moderate with highs in the upper 80s and low 90s over the past week.
