If you are tired of having to change your clocks twice a year there may be some hope coming from the State Capitol.

So far more than 10 bills have been filed dealing with the practice of jumping back and forth between Standard and Daylight Savings time.

The vast majority agree with State Rep Will Metcalf's bill. "We want to authorize an observation of Daylight Savings Time year-round though please note that the state of Texas would still need federal approval," Metcalf says.

Although federal law doesn't block ending Daylight Savings. If Texas were to stay with Standard Time and put an end to Daylight Saving then no Federal approval would be needed.

Jay Pea from Save Standard Time is clearly against ending Daylight Savings noting "it would delay the sunrise until 8:30 in the eastern half of Texas and 9 in the morning in the western half of Texas."

There's also a Resolution that would allow Texans to choose which time they want.
