The Needville Little League team is coming home with a fourth place finish at the Little League World Series.
The Needville All-Stars were undefeated throughout the tournament until Saturday's US bracket championship game where they appeared to run out of gas.
After losing 6-1 to the eventual World Series champions from El Segundo, California, Needville was in Sunday's third-place game against Taiwan but again could not muster any offense, losing 10-nothing.
Nevertheless, the Needville Nine is coming home to a warm welcome and they have been invited to ride as Grand Marshals in the Fort Bend County Fair next month
