Apparently, we’ve all just been overdramatic complaining about the hellscape that is driving in Texas. But a new study from WalletHub ranks Texas as the 7th best state to drive in.

WalletHub based their findings on a number of factors, including gas prices, rush-hour traffic congestion, and road quality.  And somehow, Texas landed at 7th best.

Texas ranked first in the nation for average gas prices, 2nd in car dealerships per capita, and 5th in having the most auto-repair shops per capita.

Iowa, Georgia, Ohio, Oklahoma, and North Carolina were found to be the best states to drive in, with Maryland, Rhode Island, Delaware, Washington, and Hawaii being the worst.
