The cities of Tyler and Whitehouse are included in a $1.6 million dollar donation to the Boys and Girls Clubs from Chiefs Quarterback Patrick Mahomes, a Whitehouse High School graduate.
In addition, the Mahomes Foundation will donate $1,500 for every touchdown pass Mahomes throws during the regular season.
The Boys & Girls Clubs of East Texas and the Mentoring Alliance site will provide scholarships to 300 young people to attend the Club annually at no cost.
Also, during the multi-year commitment, the foundation will help Boys & Girls Clubs of America in upgrading several facilities.
