Some city buildings in Houston are facing a rat problem. That rat problem could be getting in the way of justice.

The police evidence locker has apparently been infiltrated by rats and they've destroyed some paperwork. The Harris County District Attorney now is notifying defense attorneys in more than 3,000 cases that evidence may have been chewed up. They only know of one case that's been affected for sure, as of now.

The news of the rat problem came days after the mayor made it known that they have a rat problem in another building where more than 400,000 lbs of confiscated marijuana is stored. The mayor joked, "the rats are the only ones partaking of that pot."
