The last few years have seen a massive influx of people moving to Texas, and the number of new residents doesn’t seem like it’s slowing down any time soon.
While many outsiders may look at moving to DFW, Austin, Houston, you know the big cities, the Lone Star State has plenty of wonderful areas for people looking to make a move.
A new study from USA Today looked at 52 different cities in Texas, and analyzed them with 18 different metrics to determine just what the best cities to move to are in the state. The results are actually pretty surprising.
The survey found Tyler to be the best city in Texas to move to, followed by Laredo, New Braunfels, Cedar Park, and Temple to round out the top five.
Tyler ranked high due to its “offering low unemployment, top medical access and low risk for natural hazards.”
The aforementioned Dallas-Fort Worth and Houston areas ranked near the bottom since costs are generally higher than the national average.
